Confession

Confession heals; confession grants pardon of sins. Never despair of the mercy of God. Hope and have confidence in confession.
-St. Isidore of Seville (c 560—636)

Went. Today.

nearly went the other evening, but there was a queue of thirty at one confessional, and one of about twenty quickly formed at another when a second priest turned up. Such a bummer living in Poland ...

I am going next week.
My German is not sufficient to go to Confession here and when I asked the priest he really had no idea where I could go... There is a church here in Dusseldorf you can go to for confession but you have to make an appointment and I just cannot bring myself to do that so I shall wait until I am back in London.

Good to live in a place where so many want to go.

Owen

Good for you.

Kirk

Hmmm. Best save it for London.

The priests in my parish have put on an extra 12 hours worth before this Thursday. Inspiring.

I had this confessor who used to tell us to go to confession in foreign languages, because it's harder to beat about the bush when you have composed your confession with a dictionary :-)

An interesting concept Berenike.
However as my German sounds like rubbish, I don't want the Priest to mistake my sins for something far less than what they are - or far worse!!!
